Every so often a squadron will do an official photo to use in going away gifts and the like. This was DJ's first where he was in the front as a leader of the Squadron. It turned out pretty good!

DJ takes a picture with one of his TSgts and the Wing Command Chief. The Chief wanted this picture taken because he gave coins to DJ & Jeannine for being awesome. This was taken at Bigz Burgers, a local burger joint in San Antonio.

DJ needed a new official photo due to his position and an award he was up for. It was a challenge due to COVID, but it turned out pretty well!

DJ's squadron plays a flag football game against their rivals each Thanksgiving and we won after a long losing streak in 2021. DJ was one of the referees for the game, hence his striped shirt. It was tons of fun and a great day

At DJ's going away his unit gave him a medal and here he is posing with it with his supervisor at the time, Dave. This took place in the warehouse at DGS-1.

DJ went on a military chaplain trip to iFly Virginia Beach, an indoor skydiving place and got to take a couple runs for free! It was cool, but really challenging to control yourself.

DJ is officially notified by his Commander that he has been selected for Senior Master Sergeant (SMSgt). This took place in front of DJ's office - a place where pictures are not often taken.

DJ accepts a Group level quarterly award for a member of his flight that was unable to be at the ceremony. He was super proud!

DJ accepts the Squadron's Team of the Quarter award for the 4th quarter of 2017. It was a really big deal as it broke the steak of a rival flight at 4 quarters in a row.

Dj is re-enlisting for another 4 years. He had to do this once he was selected for promotion, but he would have done it anyway. It is possible it was his last time, but probably not.

DJ receives a medal for some of the work he did during 2017. It was really because the people that worked for him were awesome, but leaders often get credit for what their people do. He was glad that they also got medals.
