Read the rest... - 23 Mar 2016Plane tickets purchased!I bought my plane tickets to return to the US and take my mid-tour vacation today! This is super exciting and helps make it more real! I've been in Korea for over 4 1/2 months and I am ready to get out of here. Too bad that after 30 days I'll have to come back here for 5 more months. I would love to just be done with this place. It is not bad in and of itself, but being apart from Kelley is just the worst. I have a couple friends here, but there is just no replacement for her. Sigh.

8 Mar 2016Kelley just finished reading Power Thoughts and rated it 8 / 10- 5 Mar 2016LimitationsIt is true DJ and I are still separated, but it is not stopping us from achieving personal goals. Today, I weighed in at the lowest weight in 15+ years. I cannot begin to describe how good that feels to have my hard work, time and dedication pay off. My outlook on food is awesome and I simply want to embrace life. I encourage everyone to go for your goals. Remember, you are the one standing in your way.

- 16 Feb 2016Valentine's Day AloneYes, the special couple day has passed. We continue to survive through this separation. While it is far from ideal, we are challenging ourselves as a couple and as individuals to continue to improve. Each day is a gift. We must not wish away this time apart. We must make the best of every situation. We are now on the second half of the first separation time. Each day that passes is another day closer to our reunion and THAT is awesome news!
Comment on/rate this... - 28 Jan 2016Bring on the Love MonthEven though our family is not together, we know our love in strong. It will help us make the most out of February's 29 days. You find out what you are really all about when you are tested. As February 2nd approaches and we have made it through to another month of separation, we are reminded that we are strong and we can continue to press through. We do not know what the future holds. We are taking it one day at a time and that is perfectly okay.

- 20 Jan 2016Separation Struggle ContinuesSome days are easier than others, but certainly as the days continue while we are pleased that it is one day closer to our reunion it does not make today much easier. The chores continue and the help to accomplish the tasks together is not found. It is in these times that your foundation is tested. The snow is falling and the hope for warmer days continues to grow. I am learning to appreciate each day and make the most of it despite the less than ideal situation. Return to me soon DJ!

- 9 Jan 2016January BluesHere we are in the winter month of January. It is a slow month. It can be cold, little sun and can be depressing. However, for our family it is now 2016. We get to see each other this year. This is exciting and encouraging. We continue to discuss DJ's return for vacation in May. We are talking about our future plans when he returns at the end of the year. It is an interesting time for us. I am torn when it comes to finding a job. I want to be very picky. I am excited that I only have 2 classes left to complete my certification. I continue to learn Spanish. Our family must look for the silver lining as we deal with this separation. We can do this!
